The Carrick-on-Suir and
Mahon Falls route is mostly on quite country roads but does occasionally take you upon some busy roads. The spectacular views of the Comeragh range and the green countryside as you cycle along is breathtaking and when you reach the magical and majestic
Mahon Falls the beauty before your eyes will leave you wanting to explore more.

- From the Quay in Carrick-on-Suir head south on the R697 towards the Waterford road before turning right. Turn slightly left at the R680 and then turn left to stay on the R680.
- Turn slightly right at Mothel road and then take a sharp left towards the R676 and travel on for about 1.2km. Turn right at the R676 and then turn left and travel on for about 5.5km.
- Turn right and continue until you reach Ballyneale. In Ballyneale head northwest on Clodagh Drive towards the R676. Continue to follow the R678 for about 1.6km.
- Turn left at the R676 and travel on for about 10.6km until you reach Mahon Bridge. From here turn right and then turn right again.
- Turn right and travel on for about 2km before turning right again. Travel on for about 1.3km until you come to Mahon Falls. Mahon Falls is a wonderfully scenic spot that allows visitors to take a tranquil walk in the country, visit the waterfall or have fun on the magic road.
- From Mahon Falls turn left and travel on for about 2km. Turn left again and return back to Mahon Bridge. Turn left at Mahon Bridge and travel on for about 10.6km. Turn left at the R678 and continue for about 3km until you reach Rathgormack.
- From Rathgormack head northwest on the R678 and turn right traveling on for about 2.7km. Turn left towards the R680 and travel on for about 3.9km. Turn right at the R680 and continue on until you reach Churchtown.
- From Churchtown travel straight on the R680 for about 3.4km. Turn left to stay on the R680 and travel on for about 3.5km before turning left again to stay on the R680. Turn left once more to stay on the R680 and continue the route back into Carrick-on-Suir.
