Dungarvan and Copper Coast Drive

It embraces the wild and spectacular countryside between Dungarvan and the major seaside resort of Tramore as well as more intimate Seaside Resorts with Blue Flag Beaches such as Clonea and Bunmahon. Highlights on the route include Dungarvan Town Trail, Dungarvan Museum, Augustinian Abbey, Stradbally, Dunhill Castle, and Matthewstown Gallery Grave.

Waterford – Kill – Bunmahon – Stradbally - Dungarvan

Distance: 47.1km (28.2 miles) 
Time to Allow: 1 hour
  • From the first roundabout into Waterford (Holycross) follow the N25 for about 4km. Take a left turn for Kill onto the R681 before you reach Kilmeaden.
  • Travel straight on the R681 for about 10km and at the t-junction turn right to enter Kill. To continue the drive turn left and travel the R681 for about 4km. Turn right at the R675 and continue until you reach Bunmahon.
  • From Bunmahon head southwest on the R675 for about 5km towards the R677. Turn right at Viewmount Drive and travel straight on until you reach Stradbally. From Stradbally head south towards Church lane and turn left towards the R675.
  • Turn left at the R675 and travel straight on for about 9km. When you enter Dungarvan turn right at Davitts Quay and continue into the centre of Dungarvan town. You can take the N25 taking you back to Waterford.
