The South East Coastal Drive
Visitors can enjoy a relaxing and rural journey along the South East Coastal Drive. This coastal area is known throughout for its rich heritage, tranquil villages and breathtaking scenery.
Waterford City - Dunmore East - Tramore - Annestown - Bunmahon - Stradbally - Dungarvan - Ring - Ardmore - Lismore - Ballymacarbry - Lemybrien - Waterford City

- From Parnell Street in Waterford City, head northeast along the N25, turning right on to the R683 and continuing on this road, before bearing left on to the R684. Turn off the R684 and follow the signs for Dunmore East.
- From Dunmore East, follow the R684 north to the R685 before turning left on to the R684 and continue for 7km. Turn left at the junction with the R675 and follow this road in to Tramore. Continue along this route passing through the alluring villages of Annestown and Bunmahon.
- From Bunmahon, travel on the R675 towards the R677 for about 6km. Keep left and follow the signs for Stradbally before turning off the R675. From Stradbally, continue southwest towards the R675. At the t-junction turn left following the coast once more and eventually you will enter into Dungarvan.
- In Dungarvan, travel on to the N25 and follow the signs for Helvick Head and An Rinn. Travel along the N25 toward Youghal before turning right on to the R674 towards An Rinn.
- From An Rinn, you can continue along the network of coast roads or you can retrace your journey back to the N25 but this time, turn left towards Ardmore. Turn right on the N25 at the junction with the R673, and follow this road to Ardmore.
- From Ardmore, travel northwest on the R673 before turning left at the N25 and then right on to the R671. Follow the R671 until the junction with the N72.
- From here, visitors can visit Lismore to the west along the N72 or continue straight on to Ballymacarbry. Continue on this road and turn right at the junction with the R672 toward Lemybrien.
- From Lemybrien, visitors find themselves back on the N25 which they can continue travelling on east, back to Waterford City.
