The Estate has contained the home of the Marquis of Waterford and his ancestors since 1170.

The Estate includes an arboretum, a bridge built in 1205 and a unique shell grotto built and decorated by the Countess of Tyrone in 1754.

Open:  February to Mid July: House/Grounds/Shell House: 9.00am to 1.00om Monday to Friday. 
  Thursday and Bank Holidays from Easter to mid October: Shell House & Gardens: 2.00pm to 5.00pm. 
Admission: Shell House & Gardens: €5 per Adult.  
House tour only: €10 per Adult.
Combined tour of House, Gardens and Shell House: €15 per Adult.
Facilities: Car and Coach park and toilets.
