Waterford & Suir Valley Railway

A heritage narrow gauge railway follows six kilometres of the abandoned Waterford/Dungarvan route, from the station at Kilmeaden into Carriganore. The track runs mostly along the picturesque banks of the River Suir offering a glimpse into the world famous Mount Congreve Gardens and the Viking site in Woodstown.

The railway is currently operated by a volunteer crew and runs for the summer season from April to September. It is popular with locals and tourists alike and appeals to people of all ages.
