Soak in the beauty of Dromana Walk which brings you along the banks of the River Blackwater with its rich landscape.

Dromana Walk

Distance: 4km (2.5 miles) 
Suitability: Suitable for all
Terrain:  Public roadway 

The walk begins at Dromana Bridge, a Hindu-Gothic gateway which was built in 1849. From here follow the public roadway until you reach Villierstown, with picnic areas along the way bask in the beauty of the tall woodland that stands guard on either sides of the road. Dromana House which housed the famous Catherine the Countess of Desmond, who is reported to have lived to 140 years old, is located along the way.
