Baylough is a corrie lake in the Knockmealdown mountains. There are breathtaking views from here and the area is at its best in the month of June when the Rhododendrons are in bloom. Baylough is associated in legend with "Petticoat Loose", in this area where she did so much harm, she is called the witch of the Knockmealdowns.
