The Towers at Ballysaggartmore, between Lismore and Ballyduff, is a woodland walk with a dramatic history.

Arthur Kiely-Ussher was a cruel Famine-era landlord whose wife wanted a castle. The fairytale Gothic gate lodge and the eponymous Towers were the only part of the project ever completed. A path now leads visitors through the tall black gates and over the towered bridge making this folly a wonderful place for a family picnic.
The Towers walk is approximately 1.5km long. Information boards on site provide greater detail on the Towers’ history and the trail’s abundant flora.
