As a sporting location, County Waterford has a great deal to offer. Flat racing is held regularly over the season but the Tramore racing festival in August is still the highlight of the summer season.
The Tramore Racing August Festival is held over four days with sponsored races, fashion and serious socialising it makes it a week when many County Waterford emigrants make their annual pilgrimage home to enjoy the festival atmosphere. Tramore Races have been providing exciting entertainment for racing fans in South East Ireland for more than 200 years. The 80 acre venue now boasts totally up-graded facilities with three car parks, two stands and all-tarmac enclosures.
