Aglish is a picturesque little village that combines the spectacular scenery of County Waterford's most unspoilt regions with rural charm.

The name 'Aglish' probably stems from the anglicisation of the Irish word for church 'Eaglais'. This charming village is set in a central located where visitors can take part in a myriad of activities such as the Finisk Equestrian Centre, the West Waterford Golf Club in Dungarvan, fishing in the Blackwater River, GAA and more. If you are looking for modern convenience and rural charm, you will be hard pushed for a more suitable location than Aglish.

There are many historical and scenic attractions in and around Aglish. The River Geosh, a tributary to the Blackwater River, runs through the village and the graveyard beside the ruin of the transitional church, has some headstones dating back to the early 18th century. Located between Aglish and Villierstown are the Kiltera Ogham Stones.
