The once derelict west wing of Lismore Castle was transformed into Lismore Castle Arts and has played host to many amazing artists.
Lismore Castle Arts
The contemporary art gallery holds exciting exhibition with different themes being explored annually. These modern, light filled spaces has held exhibitions such as 2009’s ‘United Technologies’, 2007’s ‘Titled/Untitled’ and 2006’s ‘Richard Long’ and with artists such as Hernan Bas, Nathalie Djurberg and Jacco Oliver exhibiting their work, Lismore Castle Arts is an art lovers dream.
The gallery also series of workshops, talk and regular art related events for art enthusiasts, visitors and local to enjoy and allows people to get involved in their ‘Friends Scheme’. Lismore Castle Arts also provides and annual schools programme where schools and groups can go and learn through workshops, talks and discussions as well as seeing the displays.
