Lismore Heritage Centre
Lismore Heritage Centre is a must for those wishing to discover more about Lismore Heritage Town with ‘The Lismore Experience’ an award winning audio visual presentation where you host Brother Declan takes you on a fascinating journey though time and tells the story of Lismore since its foundation in 636AD. Enjoy the exhibition galleries where you come face to face with historic figures from St. Carthage to the Dukes of Devonshire. This centre also has a gallery dedicated to the life and works of scientist Robert Boyle ‘Father of Modern Chemistry’ who was born in
Lismore Castle in 1627.
Lismore Heritage Centre also houses a craft and souvenir shop and the tourist information office where the helpful guides are on hand to answer any question and tell you about the delights of the town. Guided tours of the historic town of
