This cycling route takes in the charm and grace of the Blackwater Valley while passing travelling through the beauty that is the Knockmealdown Mountains.The Blackwater Valley and Knockmealdown Mountains While travelling this route take in the exquisite setting of Lismore and the luminous beauty of The Vee. This cycle begins in Cappoquin and from here you travel along alongside the River Blackwater on the N72 to In Ballyduff head west on the R666 and turn left towards the N72, continuing on for about 7km before turning slightly left at the N72.Turn right over the bridge and head towards Tallow. To continue the route cycle straight on heading up a steep hill or you can continue around the steady incline which includes a hair pin turn and travel on until you reach Lismore. Cycle through the town and travel back over Lismore Bridge this time taking the second left onto the R668 following the signs for The Vee. This road is narrow at times, with sharp bends but the views are worth it; cycle on until you reach the Vee Gap and from here head east continuing on for about 3km. Turn left to stay on this road and continue on for another 3km until you reach Clogheen. From here turn left and cycle on for about 2km until you come to
