Ballyin Gardens sits on the north bank of the River Blackwater with breathtaking views of the surrounding meadows.

Ballyin Gardens

The gardens at Ballyin are filled with many colourful and beautiful flowers including azaleas, camellias as well as an extensive array of rhododendrons. This garden dates back to the 18th century and one of the main features is the Monterey Cedar in the main lawn which has the largest girth of any tree in County Waterford.

A large variety of shrubs and tress, many of North American origin are set in this wonderful sloped garden with a tranquil setting along the banks to the River Blackwater. Lismore Castle can be spotted upstream from the garden and you can sit and watch the many interesting bird and animal life that lives along the bank.
