Salterbridge House is a Victorian country house with a breathtaking view overlooking the bend of the River Blackwater.

The garden which surrounds this magnificent house is filled with many camellias, magnolias and is filled with the beautiful rhododendron. Green shrubs are dotted throughout the garden as well as many species of tall, mature trees.

The long driveway up to the house and gardens bring the visitor through the serene setting of the woodland and as you entered the black railing gateway you can help but stand in awe of Salterbridge Gatelodge. This pavilion Gatelodge was built in 1849 with is main function being to indicate to the passer-by the good standing and taste of the original owner.
