The small village of Touraneena is located about 13 miles from Dungarvan and 12 miles from Clonmel, nestled between the Knockmealdown, Comeragh and Monavullagh mountains.

Touraneena is situated in perhaps one of the most scenic areas in all of Ireland. The area of Touraneena was historically known as 'Sliabh gCua' but as time went on this name slowly disappeared. It is located just off the Dungarvan/Clonmel road and boasts a strong heritage and many famous sporting and cultural heroes.

Within a short distance of Touraneena is a number of places for visitors to see. The Nire Valley, the Comeragh Drive and the heritage town of Lismore are not very far away as is the Cistercian Abbey and Grotto at Mount Melleray. A number of beaches and Golf Courses are to be found within a few minutes drive of leaving Touraneena. All but one of the lentils of the church can be found some Ogham stones that date back to the fourth to eight centuries.
